Santa Monica is looking for a Graveyard shift Logistics Coordinator!

The purpose of this position is to ensure that internal, external customers and colleagues receive the highest quality of customer service. This position is more physical and will require warehouse dock area managing, assisting customer with will call orders, loading trucks and dispatching routes. This may involve answering questions, researching information such as billing of orders, able to facilitate resolution of transport issues and have a firm understanding of logistics compliance. Coordinating orders to operations so that they are processed in a timely manner. The nature of this job requires an individual that is intelligent, dependable and detail oriented. This individual will work closing with billing, operations, and sales. This individual must be motivated to meet the goals of the department and be willing to “go the extra mile” in serving the customer.

 Primary Position Duties & Responsibilities:

·Shift begins at 8:30 pm to 5:30 am

·Assist in the dispatching of delivery drivers

·Coordinating loading with yard spotter and loading dock crew

·Temp truck inspection prior to loading on some lanes

·Routing for fleet via Road net / Omnitracs (training will be provided)

·Respond to customer delivery request using best judgement based on capability of route

·Communicate Production/Operational issues with Logistics Supervisor / Manager

·Communicate Logistical issues (routing, drivers) with Logistics Supervisor

·Check in drivers for dispatch

·All other reasonable requests.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·Must have three (1) years of relevant work experience.

·Must have communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external customers.

·Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

·Must be able to multi-task.

·Must have excellent time management skills.

·Knowledge of the transportation industry is a plus.

·Must be able to work a graveyard shift (8pm-5am) Sunday-Thursday with Fridays and Saturdays off

Required Computer Knowledge:

·Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and word

·Working knowledge of GPS software (not required but a plus)

·10 Key by touch

Education:

·High School Diploma or G.E.D., or a combination of relevant work experience
